WILDTEK Contest Terms and Limits

1. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS CONTEST (the “Contest”). A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

2. Only individuals who are legal or permanent residents of Canada, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time they enter the Contest are eligible to enter. It is understood that individuals who are minors in their territory of residence are not eligible to enter the Contest.

3. By entering the Contest, each entrant (male includes female and vice versa) accepts and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Contest Rules (the “Rules”). The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal, and local laws and regulations. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. The Contest will be open online on the Wildtek website from Sunday, March 14, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) to Saturday, July 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) (the “Entry Deadline”).

5. To be eligible to win the prize awarded via the Wildtek website, each participant must complete the following steps before the entry deadline:

1. Go online and register for the contest on the XYZ page.

6. Wildtek reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose comment contains content that is, in whole or in part, obscene, defamatory, threatening, pornographic, profane, violent, illegal, fraudulent, explicit or vulgar, contains nudity, violates the proprietary rights of third parties, promotes hatred, otherwise gives rise to criminal or civil liability of any person or entity, is otherwise unlawful or contrary to applicable laws, regulations or the Terms of I, or is otherwise deemed by Wildtek, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be offensive or inappropriate, or inconsistent with the spirit or theme of the Contest or the Wildtek brand.

7. All eligible entries (comments) to the Contest must be received by Wildtek no later than the Entry Deadline and must comply with the terms and conditions hereof. All entries become the property of Wildtek.

8. Entries generated by third parties or by means of a script, macro or other automated process (including, without limitation, any electronic, robotic or computer program, tool, service, script, robot, macro, system or software for automatic or automated entry into a contest, whether commercial or otherwise) or which contain typographical errors, are altered or tampered with, are incomplete or inaccurate, contain irregularities of any kind or otherwise violate these rules will be considered void and will disqualify the entrant from entering the contest. Repeated violations of the foregoing provisions by an entrant may disqualify the entrant from participating in future Wildtek promotions or contests. The odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the entry deadline.

9. The Prize Winner (the “Prize Winner”) will receive a Wildtek SEQUOIA Medium Tent valued at one thousand seven hundred and forty-nine dollars ($1,749 CAD).

10. The total retail value of the prize is one thousand seven hundred and forty-nine dollars ($1,749 CAD).

11. For the purpose of awarding the Contest Prize, one (1) random draw will be held at Wildtek's head office in Sherbrooke, Quebec (or remotely in the event that the head office is closed on the draw date), on July 2, 2025 at approximately 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) (the "Draw Date") to select the Prize winner from among all eligible entries received by the Entry Deadline.

12. The Prize Winner will be notified by email (the “Claim Notice”) on the Drawing Date. The Winner will have 24 hours from receipt of the Claim Notice (the “Claim Period”) to respond to Wildtek to establish a tent setup schedule. If the Prize Winner cannot be reached within the Claim Period for any reason, the Prize Winner will be declared ineligible and deemed to have forfeited the Prize, without any possibility of prize replacement, refund, or substitution of any kind, and in such circumstances, Wildtek may decide, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select an alternate Prize Winner through a random drawing conducted by Wildtek, until the newly designated Prize Winner can be reached by email. Wildtek will not be liable for any unsuccessful attempts to contact the prize winner for any reason, including, without limitation, if any electronic communication is unsuccessful, if the prize winner fails to respond to such communication, or if Wildtek receives notification that such communication was not delivered. If all or part of the prize cannot be awarded to the prize winner due to facts or circumstances beyond Wildtek's control, Wildtek may decide, in its sole and absolute discretion, to award a substitute prize (or substitute prizes) of equal or greater retail value.

13. Wildtek reserves the right to verify whether an entrant or prize winner meets the eligibility requirements. In addition, to be eligible to receive the prize awarded hereunder, the prize winner may be required to sign a release and acknowledgment of eligibility in the form provided by Wildtek, which, among other things, releases Wildtek from any liability for damages related to the prize, or any component thereof, awarded to him or her, and must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and other requirements in his or her province or territory of residence (the “Release”). If the Prize Winner fails to comply with these Rules, forfeits his or her Prize or any portion thereof for any reason, fails to claim his or her Prize by the Claim Date, fails to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, fails to execute any required release or otherwise fails to meet any of the requirements or eligibility criteria contained herein, he or she will be declared ineligible and deemed to have forfeited his or her Prize, without any possibility of replacement, refund or substitution of prize of any kind and, in such circumstances, Wildtek will have no further obligation to the Prize Winner in question and may decide, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select a new Prize Winner in the manner set forth in Paragraph 13, in which case the terms and conditions set forth in Paragraphs 13, 14 and 15 hereof will apply to the new Prize Winner with the necessary adaptations.

15. The prize winner may not receive a cash equivalent of the prize or request a substitution of another product or an equivalent prize. The prize may not be combined or used with any other contest or offer. It must be accepted as awarded and may not be converted to cash, prepaid cards, or gift cards (including Gift Cards as defined herein) of any kind, in whole or in part. No component of the prize may be returned once it has been claimed or delivered, as the case may be. No voucher for subsequent claiming of the prize will be provided. The prize winner will not be entitled to any refund or other compensation for any expenses or costs incurred. The choices of styles, sizes, colors, and types of products and items that may be purchased with a Gift Card are those available.

16. Only one (1) prize will be awarded in the Contest. If, due to typographical or other error, more prizes are announced than the number stated in these Rules, all persons who have submitted a valid claim will be entered into a random drawing to award the number of available prizes announced.

17. By entering the Contest, all entrants (A) grant Wildtek the right (i) to include their name and information about them (including their email address) in all Wildtek mailing/email lists and to use them in connection with live person-to-person telephone calls and by means of automatic dialing and announcing devices, in each case to the extent necessary in connection with the Contest and, to the extent permitted by and in accordance with applicable law, for promotional purposes relating to Wildtek.

 

18. All costs related to or incidental to the receipt and use of the prize, including all surcharges, duties, taxes (federal, provincial or local), and travel or transportation expenses (ground, air or otherwise), are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, all fees, costs and expenses of any kind not expressly the responsibility of Wildtek pursuant to the provisions herein are the sole responsibility of the prize winner, who will not be entitled to any reimbursement or compensation for any such fees, costs or expenses. The prize and its components may not be transferred, refunded, reassigned or revalidated in whole or in part.

19. Subject to a contrary decision by the Régie (as defined below), if for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned (i) due to a problem caused by a computer virus or bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical malfunction or failure, or any other cause whatsoever that compromises or impairs the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, including with respect to Wildtek's Instagram page, (ii) due to an insufficient number of entries or (iii) for any other reason beyond the control of Wildtek, Wildtek reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to declare a person ineligible and/or to cancel, modify, interrupt or terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, and/or to modify these rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Wildtek reserves the right to prohibit any person from participating in the Contest if Wildtek believes that such person is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest through cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair practices, or is abusing, threatening or harassing other participants. Warning: Any attempt by any person to damage, disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil law and, in such regard, Wildtek reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies against any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

20. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram and/or Facebook. Each entrant is providing their information to Wildtek and not to Instagram. By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to release and forever discharge Instagram from any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to the Contest.
