1 - CHECK COMPATIBILITY WITH YOUR VEHICLE

Every vehicle is different, but rest assured, we have a WILDTEK tent that fits all types of vehicles (or almost all!)

First, we need to understand the difference between a dynamic load and a static load.

Dynamic charging: When your vehicle is in motion .

Static load: When your vehicle is stopped and immobilized .

Dynamic load :
If you plan to install a WILDTEK roof tent on your vehicle, first check your vehicle's roof's dynamic load capacity. You can find this information in your vehicle's owner's manual, at your dealership, or online. This load value is dynamic , meaning it applies when the vehicle is in motion. Your vehicle's load capacity must be equal to or greater than the weight of the WILDTEK roof tent you choose.

Static charge :
When it comes time to add the weight of people inside the tent, the vehicle will necessarily be stationary. This is therefore now a static load. Normally, under static conditions, a vehicle's roof can support approximately 5 times its dynamic load , which you will have already determined. Therefore, there is no problem with your vehicle's roof supporting the weight of the people and your WILDTEK tent. Note that if you are looking for the static load capacity for your vehicle, it is generally more difficult to find than the dynamic load capacity.

2 - HAVE CROSS BARS

Your vehicle's capacity has now been validated!

The next step is to ensure that you have crossbars (horizontal relative to the direction of travel of the vehicle) whose dynamic load is greater than your WILDTEK roof tent that you want to select .

Crossbar models are available for most vehicles. Some models are universal, while others are specific to the vehicle model. In all cases, ensure they are in good working order and securely attached to your vehicle.

For pickup trucks, you have several options for installing your WILDTEK tent: on the roof of the pickup, on a rack, or on bars positioned in the bed. For pickup truck bed racks, we suggest those from RAXA Systems , a Quebec-based company.

These crossbars are very easy to install, in just a few minutes. You can find them either directly from us by contacting us, or online, in sports stores, or in specialty shops.

3 - CHOOSE YOUR WILDTEK TENT

Now that you know your vehicle's technical specifications, it's time to choose your WILDTEK tent. You can compare the weight and packed dimensions of each model to ensure it will work well with your vehicle. We have models suited to every situation and every vehicle.

4 - DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

Several options are available to you to collect your new WILDTEK tent.

• Delivery of your tent directly to your home (Shipping cost extra).
• Pick up your tent at our factory. You'll need a van or trailer! (By appointment only, in Sherbrooke, Quebec)
• Have your tent assembled and installed by our specialized team (Installation cost extra (By appointment only, in Sherbrooke, Quebec)

If you choose to set up your tent yourself, rest assured, it's very simple.

For the initial setup, allow approximately 1 to 2 hours for the final assembly of certain components on the rooftop tent, such as the ladder and lower rails. Everything needed for this initial setup is included in the box, including instructions and tools. Afterward, mounting the tent on your vehicle's roof takes about half an hour.
